It is not recommended to use traditional chipboard or mdf for outdoor applications even if your area is undercover this is due to levels of humidity and temperature fluctuations compared to in your home where levels remain relatively steady.
Laminex Alfrsco compact laminate options is by for the most durable of the two even though this option is only 13mm thick its very heavy and incredibly durable. Match this along with being weatherproof it’s a clear standout. Draw back for some is the price, due to the material being expsnive it also requires longer machining times compared to other Panels & Frames.

It is not suitable for uncovered areas like Laminex Alfresco Laminate
